I just want to run!

Sometimes our days can be very busy. We go here, we go there - ride in the car, hold Momma's hand - this is a parking lot, into the shopping cart, sitting in a waiting room, wait in line - an adult's day. Add that to visiting people at different houses with different rules for my son for each house. So, when Little Boy crawled into my lap and asked me - "Momma, do you know someplace we can go where I can run safely and not hold your hand? NOT a parking lot? I just want to RUN!" Well, Momma knew just the place - and this is where we went for a nice long run at the end of a busy day! It was a nice reminder that we have drifted away from our own schedules these past couple of weeks - we have been skipping our running time and that is something we usually do almost every day.

And being outside just running - it is a nice way to end our day.

Thanks for the reminder - every now and then we just want and need to run :-)It can be good to have a Little Boy to remind us of the simple pleasures in life.

Sometimes we forget that those around us have needs far different from our own. What a good momma to adjust your life around his for a few moments, this is a wonderful way to let little ones know how much we value them.

I love the pictures. Isn't it amazing how the wisdom of a little kid can mean so much. I think you're right on track. I've missed your posts. But there will always be computers and keyboards, there won't always be little boys...
Enjoy.

THats the great thing about kids. THey get us to get our priorities in order. It's certainly important to run a bit every day without thinking of what others are thinking or doing.

what a smart little boy to ask for this way of having some freedom to do what he likes best.

you are such a good mommy, and you have an exceptionally smart little boy! I love those pictures! Oh, how you are going to look back at these with very fond memories! I wish I took more when my kids were growing up--but we were busy doing things. Digital cameras make thing so much easier.

What a sweetie! And so smart. It takes some of us years to know what exactly makes us happy.

Enjoy that Little Young Man!!!

I like catching the glimpses of him growing up... Fun to see him learn to use words to communicate. :)

What a beautiful spot. Is that Queen Anne's Lace in the bottom picture? Haven't seen that in forever.
