Shakespeare-ing Again
My jet-lag project... cutting out my 3rd Shakespeare in the Park (a Judy Martin design). My pattern is in the Jan/Feb 2001 issue of Quilter's Newsletter Magazine, but this pattern is also in one of her books (Judy's Creative Pattern Book). Linda gave me this link before - if you go to http://www.judymartin.com/Viewer-Photos.cfm you can see lots of quilts that other people have made using Judy's patterns.
I am using labeled freezer bags to keep all the pieces organized. You can see the other 2 Shakespeare quilts I've made in my April 23rd post. This one will be my 2nd blue/cream version. It is an easy quilt to make, but looks complicated - the time consuming part is in the cutting.

What a beautiful pattern!
I fell in love with the quilt when you posted it on your site before. I looked and looked for the pattern to only discover I have the book it is in. This is on the top of my list for 2007 quilts. My husband also likes the pattern so I will adjust it to fit our queen size bed. I look forward to seeing your completed top.
OH OH OH - Can I play along? (That is one of my oldest "want to do's" It is not quite a UFO yet as I only purchased the 2 fabrics - yes you read right, I am doing it with 2 fabrics - haven't started to cut yet.
I will need lotsa of photos taken as you go.... Like this is piece "A" etc. (I am so intimidated by her "kites" and "trapeziods" & such that I have't started....)
FYI My 2 fabrics are "mock hand-dyeds" so they have a lot going on. It's not at all like an old fashioned 2 fabric quilt.
At least not in my mind....
That one's high on my list, too! Maybe I'll find the time to cut myself a "kit" before the end of the year...
I've always admired this quilt. One day I might make one. Right now I'm having too much fun playing in my scraps. Which doesn't seem to make the STASH go down any. LOL!
I am sure of it, it will go out a good quilt:))))
One of my all-time favorites. I saw one in person at a quilt show in a park this past summer and fell in love with the pattern all over again. But like Nancy, I'm having too much fun playing in my scraps.
Wow, no moss growing under you! My son was an awesome traveler when he was young but your little guy is super duper at it!! So your trip to the US was vacation?? Is Austria your "permanent address"?? I think Europeans have a better knack of utilizing space and energy than Americans. The dryer basin is a perfect example. Could you use that water for plants?? or something else.
Thanks for sharing!!
BTW love Shakespeare in the Park!
