Flannel Kids Quilt
1 yard of flannel will give you 20 8.5" squares. I like to cut novelty prints large so the design doesn't get chopped off. And, Little Boy just loves to help Momma experiment with different layouts... here is our 1st one. We have enough flannel cut to make up a few quilts! I like to make these - I will use fleece for the backing and no batting. The quilting will be just squiggly lines around the outside edge of each block. Easy-peasy and kids just love the softness!
A slightly different version...
Don't you just love the possibilities contained in a few yards of uncut fabric! Novelty flannels were on sale this week at Joanne's and I just couldn't resist these fun prints!

I love your simple flannel quilts for kids! Your son looks pretty pleased as well!
the yellow and green really add sparkle to your quilt...
The quilts are cute but not as cute as the little boy.
what a nice quick and easy quilt to make. Love the fabrics you chose.
What fun! I did a rag quilt like that once... I love that you have a big helper. :o)
Little boy is amazing, such a traveler. Where are you these days?
These are cute, and I think it is fabulous that you let your children get involved in the design selection!
Very cute! Little boy and both versions of the quilt :-)
I'ts so good to have a helper decide your layouts! :) And using fleece for a backing is a GREAT idea! I may have to do that for the next one!
I may borrow this idea...I used up some of my fun flannels in easy quilts for my nephews but still have an awful lot left..nice!
