Laundry Day

This photo was taken last month, but to give you all an idea... it is always a rough day around here when the FAVORITE blanket gets washed. I use the fastest cycle (30 minutes) and maybe you can see on the machine - it has 12 more minutes to go. Fortunately, this blanket drys super fast, phew! So sorry Little Boy, I put it off as long as possible but it has to be done once a month - you know - when it starts to get... crunchy! Posted by Picasa

That's so cute! Does he sit and watch the whole time?

Oh that brings back memories of when I had to finally wash the blankies for my kids! It was always tramatic!

When my son was little and I had to wash his bunny, we had to replace the doorknob to the laundry closet several times. He just hung there and waited until it was washed and no longer dripping wet. I could never hold him off until bunny was completely dry.

It's a good thing there is a window on your machine so he can supervise the action!

AWWWWW (Do you have the kind of washer where the water heats up in the machine? Or does it come from a hot water heater? I always hated to wait for the water to heat up!)

We were so lucky- Train Boy has a favorite crocheted blankie (named "kiki") from an aged aunt. She had made one for Princess Girl, who never became attached... So, we gave hers to him, and we swap once a week, and wash the dirty one. Works like a charm- except- I don't know how to crochet and both kikis are sprining holes!!!

That is a GREAT photo! What a great memory to have when he grows up!

Your stories and pics about your Little Boy bring back so many fond memories. They grow so fast, which I'm thankful of...but I so miss the little snuggles. I do get a Big Boy hug once in awhile.

I have to say, the little while that I was reading your post...I was remembering back to a "crunchy bankie" too...and then you mentioned that! Too funny!

The stories and pics of your mountain vacation sound and look heavenly! What memories!
