Well, WE are making progress on Octagon Flowers! My Little Helper wants to do everything Momma does! Actually, I got 2 borders on and 1 almost pinned and then he woke up from his nap - which means sewing time is over! Fortunately, I was almost at the end of the pinning for this border so I let him do a few and then - quick, quick - put it up safely out of the way!
I don't have alot of time to sew right now, but a little bit here and a little bit there is adding up. Slow and steady. It helps that I am working on projects that are all started - I am finishing up UFOs and WIPs. I would love to start some new quilting projects and have some earmarked for later - but for now I am very happy finishing up what I've started. I have mailed seven quilts out to be quilted this month and I can tell you - that feels GREAT!
One more thing - if anyone is looking for Judy of Sunshine Quilts and the 1 Hour Quilt fame, she has moved her blog over to www.judylaquidara.blogspot.com.

I love your Octagon Flowers and can see some of my strips being used that way soon. Just not sure I can do mine nearly as well without that good little helper you have there. :-)
Your flowers are looking good! So is your helper.
Your quilt top looks just lovely! And such a cute little helper too!
*hugs*

you'll make a quilter out of him yet :-)
7 quilts out to the la quilter! wow! you really get so much done Evelyn! this quilt is coming along so nicely too-hurray for helpers.
I love the way it looks with that border. It's such a bright and cheerful quilt. Thanks for showing how it was made, too, if I forgot to post that yesterday. Your son is adorable.
7 quilts finished and out to the quilter this month! That's great. Must feel like getting a huge weight off your back.
SEVEN quilts in a month sent to the quilter? I'd sure say that's something to celebrate!
And I think he'll be handling a needle and thread before you know it... lol
Seven? Wow! I love those Octagon Flowers!
Your octagon flowers looks super good. Oh - I don't need another project right now ;-)
Your little shrew driver helper is a gem and your cabinet looks very useful.
Hi, i've just followed your link from the Stashbuster group. I love the Octagon Flowers. I see in a previous post that you have instructions using the Kaliedescope ruler. I have this ruler and have only used it once. But now i will be having a go at making one of your blocks. Thanks
That octagon flowers quilt is turnign out to be a nice airy quilt. What a great helper! My four-legged helper removes pins. OUCH!
awsome job on the seven quilts - very good job!!
I also feel like I'm not getting much done these days but like you said slow progress is still progress! I'm hoping that I'll get my nine patch top finished and get my aunt's quilt loaded before I leave for my Mom's on Monday but we'll be up at the condo for the weekend and I've got a ton of things to do this week so I'm not holding my breath.
I really like this quilt. All of the blocks look so different with the different fabric, yet they go so well together.
I wasn't a quilter when my daughter was young, but I do remember getting "help" when trying to paint.
